First RE Geo officer to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status

Capt Luke Parker, a Royal Engineer Geographic Officer and member of the DSA, recently qualified as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). After 18 months endeavour he became the first RE Geographic Officer to achieve CEng through the Institution of Royal Engineers and accredited by the Engineering Council.

Capt Parker's 24 months experience within Strategic Command provided the opportunity to demonstrate his theoretical knowledge to solve problems with new technologies and develop new analytical techniques within Government, ultimately allowing him to complete his professional accreditation.
