42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic) have been honoured with the Special Achievement in GIS Award

Following on from NCGI-D for being runners-up in the Community Engagement Award at this year's Esri UK and Ireland Customer Success Awards the work Capt Luke Parker and his team spearheaded within HM Forces (ARMY) Corps of Royal Engineers' 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic) has been honoured at the Esri User Conference 2021 with the Special Achievement in GIS Award for the United Kingdom.

Each year Esri selects less than 150 out of its 350,000 customers to receive a Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award; the teams selected represent 0.05% of the community and have demonstrated something truly spectacular within the field of GIS.

This award is a testament to excellent education and training of RE Geo officers and soldiers and the monumental efforts and innovations that have contributed (and continues to contribute) to UK Defence and Government and over the last 18 months.

The DSA congratulates 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic) on this special award. See Jack Dangermond announce the awards at Esri User Conference 2021
