ESRI (UK)

ESRI has extensive links with the Ministry of Defence, particularly with various parts of the
Defence surveying community dealing with geospatial matters. In recognition of this ESRI Inc
and ESRI (UK) have kindly agreed to sponsor the Defence Surveyors’ Association, providing
information and articles for inclusion on the Association’s website and in Ranger Magazine. The
Association very much welcomes ESRI’s involvement in its affairs, as the Company has provided
substantial support to the UK Armed Forces for many years.

DEVELOPMENT OF A CONSTITUTION TO REPLACE DSA ARTICLES A note from the Chairman - 18 Jan 08

Peter Walker believes we now have a document that covers the objectives of the Association, which is also acceptable to the Charity Commission. His intention is to place this document before the Association at our AGM on 19th July 2008. If we are to adopt this document it needs to be endorsed without amendment at the AGM. Consequently, I circulate this draft now to give members an opportunity to comment well in advance of the AGM.

Members are requested to provide any comments or propose any amendments to the Constitution by 19th March 2008. Should any changes then be necessary there will be time for these to be reviewed by your Council and a revised document circulated to members in advance of the AGM.
