In Spring 2007 the DSA organised a visit to Oxford for some of its members with interests in British historical military cartography. The visit was reported in the Winter 2007 issue of the DSA Ranger journal. At that time, Nick Millea, the Bodleian Library’s Map Librarian, agreed to host another such visit in 2008 if there was sufficient interest. In view of the DSA Seminar in June 2008 and other events in the early autumn, Nick has suggested the visit might now take place on Thursday 20 November, to be coincident with one of his TOSCA events (The Oxford Seminars in Cartography).
